Scott takes consultancy role after takeover

Malcolm Scott, Harris LambMalcolm Scott has moved to a consultancy role after his planning consultancy was acquired by property firm Harris Lamb.

Scott is stepping down from his role as managing director at Malcolm Scott Consultants - the firm he founded 33 years ago - as it is merged into the Harris Lamb structure.

He will now work as a consultant at Harris Lamb. 

Malcolm Scott Consultants specialised in garden centre design and planning, and has worked on projects across the world.

Neil Harris, director at Harris Lamb, said the acquisition would help the firm widen and strengthen its range of services.

Scott has a diploma in town planning and a master’s degree in landscape design from the University of Sheffield.

He worked as a town planner for the City of Coventry, the London Borough of Lewisham and Borough of Sunderland.

He also worked in private practice as a landscape architect with Landscape Design Group before setting up Malcolm Scott Consultants.
