Ruth Jackson Planning expands team with appointment

Deborah Baker Barnett, Ruth Jackson PlanningDeborah Baker Barnett has joined consultancy Ruth Jackson Planning (RJP) as a planning and heritage consultant.

Baker Barnett has taken up her new role fresh from a spell at the Manchester office of Indigo Planning, where she held an equivalent role.

The appointment takes the team at RJP to three fee earners, servicing clients including Network Rail, Salford City College, and Manchester Crematorium.

Baker Barnett’s previous roles include a spell as a policy planner at Cheshire East Council, where she coordinated production of the authority’s strategic housing land availability assessment.

Prior to that, she worked as a planning and heritage consultant at planning consultancy Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners and as a policy planner at Salford City Council.

She possesses a master’s degree in planning from the University of Manchester, where she also completed a bachelor’s in history and environment.
