RTPI appoints new professional standards director
Rosslyn Stuart has been appointed as the new director of professional standards and development at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Rosslyn joins the RTPI from the Greenwich Foundation. Previously she worked with government adviser English Heritage as planning and development director. She has also worked at a range of local authorities.
She said: “My goals are to see strong standards and ethics continue to be embedded across the profession, promote planning as an exciting and rewarding career, and strengthen knowledge and skills of planners, particularly in relation to spatial planning.”
RTPI chief executive, Trudi Elliot said: “Rosslyn brings strong management experience to the position and will make an important contribution to the RTPI’s strategies for membership, education, lifelong learning and research.”
Rosslyn replaces Professor Gavin Parker, who returns to Reading University after his secondment to the RTPI.
