Burgeoning economic growth in the north west has prompted project management consultancy WYG to expand with the appointment of two planners.

John Leggett (left) joined as associate planner from AMEC and specialises in the nuclear energy sector, working at Hinkley Point C, Sellafield and Capenhurst.

Simon Peake (right) joins WYG from IBI Group, also as an associate planner, and has extensive residential and regeneration experience.

Director of planning in Manchester Paul Shuker told Planning: “John and Simon will explore new infrastructure and regeneration opportunities.

“Workload continues to increase, principally from the north west, as a result of both the region’s continued growth and from WYG’s national multi-disciplinary framework successes.”
