Housebuilder Redrow London has appointed Morgan Scott as planning manager in a new role the company has created to cope with increasing workloads.

Redrow London said it is strengthening its portfolio with a number of site acquisitions such as the former Harrow Road Police station and the former Metropolitan Police training centre, The Peel Centre in Hendon

Scott, who joins from consultancy Savills, will focus on shaping the early development of these schemes, including The Peel Centre.

Plans for this scheme involve the creation of a new neighbourhood in Colindale with more than 1,650 new homes, cycle routes, retail units and a primary school and nursery, as well as green open space areas.

Scott started as a graduate planner at Savills in 2010, initially working with the retail planning team on commercial developments nationwide, creating site appraisals and smaller planning applications.

Redrow London said its planning and land department currently consists of four people, with more arrivals to the team anticipated in the near future.
