The London Borough of Redbridge has appointed its head of planning and building control to oversee its new council house delivery programme.

Brett Leahy has been appointed as interim programme director to oversee the borough’s new scheme, which commits to delivering 600 permanent and affordable council homes by 2022, using £20 million in funding from Greater London Authority Building Homes.

This interim role is “in addition” to Leahy’s current role as head of planning and building control.
