Planning consultancy Quod has appointed two new planners to its Leeds office, which opened in January.

Tim Leinster joins the firm from waste operator Veolia, where he worked in the development team managing bids and applications for PFI waste infrastructure.

He managed the company’s first development consent order for a nationally significant infrastructure project, and specialises in environmental planning issues, including Environmental Impact Assessments.

Tom O’Kane also joins the firm as planning assistant, having spent the past 12 months working at consultancy WYG working on commercial and residential business.

Tim Waring, director at Quod North, said: “We have witnessed increasing development interest across all land use sectors in the north, and there is substantial planning activity.

"We are very pleased with our first few months of trading in Leeds, and growing our Leeds team at this early stage is testament to our confidence in the regional economy.”
