Public affairs consultancy Weber Shandwick has promoted Chris Hogwood to its head of property and planning.

Hogwood was previously associate director at Shandwick and prior to that worked for London Councils, the organisation which represents local authorities in the capital.

The firm said that, with property developers taking consultation with councils and communities more seriously, it is increasing the size of its team which includes property and planning experts and regeneration specialists.

It said it expects to be working with more companies and the public sector, including local authorities and the NHS.
