A consultation and engagement agency which last week opened a new Midlands office in Birmingham has selected a council leader to head the outfit.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council leader Stuart Bray will combine his new role running the Thorncliffe office with his responsibilities at the authority.

Bray has spent 15 years at three local authorities including periods as executive member for planning and regeneration on both Hinckley and Bosworth and Chesterfield Borough Councils.

Managing director Richard Patient (pictured) told Planning: “We are seeing growth across all sectors: residential, energy and commercial.

“We are a very political agency and Stuart is a big heavyweight who will help us engage with local communities and elected members, but not in his own local authority.”
