Practice expands to home in on spatial and neighbourhood planning

Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design has appointed Jon Herbert as an associate director to expand the practice’s spatial planning and neighbourhood planning services.

He joins from Parsons Brinckerhoff and brings more than 17 years' experience of strategic planning, masterplanning and urban design, planning applications, and policy research and formulation.

Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design director Jane Dann told Planning: “Jon has led on production of area action plans and work to support the evolution of the local plan process. 

“He has also worked at the forefront of neighbourhood planning policy and best practice. More importantly, he brings a thorough understanding of the planning process with sensitivity to the issues of design, masterplanning and placemaking.”
