WYG recruits as London workloads rise

WYG recruitsRapidly expanding workloads in residential and commercial sectors across the capital have led a consultancy to increase workforce numbers to meet demand.

WYG has recruited Nigel Abbott and Ben Simpson as directors.

Abbott has 26 years’ planning experience and was head of planning and regeneration at Cluttons.

Simpson was previously with Carter Jonas in its London office where he was a partner in the planning and development team, with 17 years’ planning experience.

Adam Beamish and Amy Lee also join as an associate and senior planner.

Beamish joined from Cunnane Town Planning, Lee was formerly a planner with CBRE.

Head of the London planning office Chris Tennant said: “In London, the housing crisis is the biggest challenge facing us all. 

“At the same time, the loss of office accommodation means office rents and demand are increasing.”
