A multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to boost its focus on large residential projects.

Urbanissta director Jo Hanslip (pictured) told Planning: “There's an increasing confidence the market is moving in the right direction, and most of our clients are looking to expand.

“The vast majority of our work is for residential schemes mainly for large housebuilders in the south east and Midlands.”

Hanslip added: “Our growing focus is on supporting them as they look to acquire more land and seek planning permission. We are a growing practice.”

“Many clients are expanding their own businesses and the sector seems to be moving towards where we were before the recession but in a more cautious way than maybe 10 or 15 years ago.”

Urbanissta is seeking to expand by taking on a graduate planner and a town planner or associate for clients that also include housing associations and individuals with bespoke development projects.
