appartmentsThe Borough of Poole is looking to expand its planning team by two additional planners to help it deal with increasing workloads caused by housing and regeneration demand.

Planning policy and implementation manager Nick Perrins told Planning: “The planning team is growing to factor in increasing workloads.

“Those rising workloads are mainly being caused by housing demand but we also have mixed-use regeneration sites and hope as the market improves bigger sites will come on stream."

The council is looking to recruit two planning officers to grow its policy and development management team that currently numbers around 20 planners.

One of the posts would be in policy and the other would be a “hybrid” post across the department, said Perrins.
