Marcus Plaw of Lambert Smith Hampton

Marcus Plaw has joined Lambert Smith Hampton as director of planning at the firm’s Bristol office.

Plaw arrives from Colliers International where he was associate director.

He will provide a planning consultancy service across the South West region, focusing on strategic land promotion, preparing and negotiating planning applications, plus planning appeal work.

Plaw said: "As the planning system continues to change in response to the government's growth agenda, landowners and developers are keen to understand the implications of new legislation that refocuses planning at the local level alongside ongoing changes to permitted development rights."

Bristol head of office Darren Sheward said: "Marcus comes to us with an impeccable pedigree when it comes to matters relating to planning and we are very pleased that he will be working with us to offer this new service for clients across the region.”

Plaw has a degree in town and regional planning from Dundee University.
