A planning consultancy is targeting its efforts on delivering affordable housing as the economy continues to recover.
Tetlow King Planning, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is working with national housebuilders, regeneration specialists and strategic land promoters.
Director James Stacey told Planning: “It's a more buoyant market and people are coming back into the world of development. We are seeing an uprise in workloads and are expanding.
“A big focus is on the affordable housing sector. A lot of our work is representing developers a public inquiries and talking about the benefits of delivering affordable homes.”
The firm is looking to recruit two senior town planners, one in Bristol and the other in West Malling, Kent.
Stacey said: “The new postholders will preferably have specialist experience and expertise in affordable housing and care and retirement housing – we are working with other operators to meet the demands of an ageing population.”
