Barton Willmore recruits at new Southampton office

Robin Shepherd Planning and design practice Barton Willmore has opened a new south coast office and expanded its workforce.

The new office in Southampton adds to the consultancy's existing network of 11 offices and is headed by partner Robin Shepherd (pictured). 

Tim Guymer joins the new office as an associate, moving from Eastleigh Borough Council where he was planning policy manager.

Carolyn Organ joins the new office as an associate from South Oxfordshire District Council where she was major applications officer.

Rebecca Horrocks also joins the team as an associate from GVA Grimley in Bristol. 

Director Tom Looker, based in the firm's Reading office, will transfer to help build the new south coast team.

Shepherd said: “The south coast region faces some serious challenges in terms of planning for the future, investing in key infrastructure, growing the economy and delivering new homes all the while protecting the very things that make it so special.

“Opening a new south coast office gives us a stronger platform for doing that and we’re looking forward to getting involved and bringing our skills and expertise to the table.”
