Consultancy Planning Potential is expanding its two offices covering the north and south of England due to an increase in workload.

The firm is looking for a senior and a junior planner to join its team based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and a senior planner for its office in London.

Director Helen Cuthbert told Planning that the move is partly due to extra work already won and partly due to the anticipation of more to come.

She said: “The increase in work is coming mainly from the residential sector – our experience is bearing out the official figures showing record levels of activity in the housebuilding market.”

She said that the Harrogate office was also seeing more work because the local authority there has recently completed its local plan process.

The team in Harrogate is looking for a candidate to work on a range of retail and mixed-use projects throughout the North of England, and retail experience would be preferred.

The London team is looking for a candidate to work on a range of residential, high street and heritage projects principally in London.

The recruitment process comes shortly after the firm strengthened its team with three appointments.

Adam Wilkinson from consultancy CgMs and Alice Brighton from Boyer Planning both joined as senior Planners, and Tom Davies as a graduate planner.
