Epping forest civic officesEpping Forest District Council has recruited Sukhvinder Dhadwar as a senior planning officer.

Associate director of governance in development management Nigel Richardson told Planning: “Sukhvinder will be kept busy as we are seeing demand rise for housing.

“We are one of the largest green belt authorities in the country and are fairly restricted on what is built where.

“But we are also on the edge of London so the pressure for development is quite intense. We are seeing lots of applications for housing and extensions.”

Dhadwar, who is due to join from Brentwood Borough Council in early April, will expand the development management team to 10 planners, said Richardson.
