Hampshire ecological consultancy EPR has made environmental planner Ben Kite its managing director to drive business growth in housing, transport and energy sectors.

Kite (pictured) joined in 2008 after three years as an environmental planner at Bell Cornwell and specialises in environmental impact assessments, sustainability appraisals and expert witness work.

“I want to ensure EPR is seen as the partner for housing and infrastructure developers who want to deliver projects that involve high-quality ecological planning,” said Winchester-based Kite.

Kite takes over as managing director from Karen Colebourn, who has led the company since 2013. In her new role on the EPR board Colebourn will oversee industry professional standards.

EPR founder and chairman Phil Colebourn said: “I have no doubt that the future of EPR and our clients is in good hands.”
