Planner appointed president of council officers' group

A senior council officers' group has appointed a planner as its new president.   

Neil Gibson has become the new president of ADEPT, the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport.   

Gibson, a chartered planner, is Buckinghamshire County Council’s executive director for transport, economy, environment.   

ADEPT describes itself as the voice of local authority county, unitary and metropolitan strategic place directors across England with responsibility for place based services, including transport, environment, planning, economic development, housing and waste.
