Placemaking firm appoints planner as new associate

Transport planning and placemaking consultancy PJA has appointed a planner as an associate in its Manchester office, which opened less than a year ago.

Catriona Swanson joins the firm from multidisciplinary consultancy Arup, where she was a senior transport planner since 2019.

In her new role, Swanson will advise public and private sector clients on cycling and walking schemes in the North West.

Swanson previously worked for more than ten years at Salford City Council, as a planning officer, a project manager and a lead on cycling and walking, managing travel schemes and development planning projects.

She has a master's degree from the University of Manchester in city/urban, community and regional planning.
