Consultancy Pegasus Group has appointed an associate planner at its East Midlands office to handle an expanding work portfolio across the region.

Steve Lewis-Roberts took on the newly created role earlier this month. He is tasked with leading on residential, commercial and mixed-use projects across the East Midlands.

He will also be responsible for dealing with planning appeals and promoting large-scale development projects throughout the area.

Lewis-Roberts said his main objective in the new role was to deliver high-quality developments for a wide-range of clients.

He told Planning that growth in activity had been fuelled predominantly by large-scale residential projects.

He said: “That’s a reflection of the better economic conditions and the need for councils in our area to increase the housing supply.”

Lewis-Roberts has 25 years of planning experience. He moves from Charnwood Borough Council in Leicestershire, where he held the position of group leader of development management.
