Parr leaves Savills for Rapleys role

Duncan Parr, RapleysDuncan Parr has joined property firm Rapleys as a partner in its planning department.

Parr joins the firm in its London office after serving as a planning director at rival Savills in Sevenoaks, Kent.

His appointment is part of an expansion in staff numbers and geographical coverage by Rapleys, according to senior partner Robert Clarke.

Clarke said: “Duncan has successfully obtained planning permission by negations and on appeal for a wide variety of commercial clients. He regularly gives evidence as a professional witness and has successfully undertaken numerous informal hearings and written appeals.

“He has considerable experience of managing project teams including instructing counsel and advising clients on appointment of consultants such as those with highways, conservation/ecological and listed buildings expertise.

"Many of the large projects have included environmental impact assessments.”

A chartered planner, Parr has nearly 30 years of planning and development experience after serving in similar roles at Hepher Dixon and Broadway Halton Planning.
