The University of Birmingham has appointed a new teaching fellow in planning.

Charles Goode has two master's degrees -  in human geography and planning and in urban and regional planning - and has been a postgraduate student ambassador at the university for more than four years.

He has recently undertaken a doctoral research project which sought to evaluate how far the green belt is contributing to the housing crisis, with a focus on regional green belts, particularly in the West Midlands.
