Braintree Braintree District Council has announced the recruitment of three new planners.

The Essex local authority has recruited two senior planners, Tim Havers who joins from Bidwells, and Katie Towner who joins from Harlow Council.

Planner Chris Paggi also joins from the London Borough of Newham as an area manager. The three new recruits take the total headcount of the planning department to 15 planners.

Development manager Tessa Lambert told Planning: “Expansion of the department reflects we are a district that is going to see significant amount of development growth in this part of Essex.”
