Tammy AdamsHomes for Scotland (HFS) has promoted Tammy Adams to the post of director of planning to spearhead local, strategic and national planning policy and practice and on infrastructure.

Adams joined two years ago as principal planning advisor, becoming head of planning this February.

Previous posts included head of planning at Northumberland National Park Authority and planning advisor at the Department for Communities and Local Government.

Homes for Scotland supports the home building industry and represents 200 companies and organisations that together deliver 95 per cent of new homes each year, including affordable housing.

“HFS members have played a key part in strengthening our discussions with the Scottish government as well as local and strategic-level planners,” said Adams.

“We are starting to see some benefits in terms of the wider sector’s understanding of what the home building industry needs in order to bring development plans and housing targets to life.”
