Communications company Grayling is to establish a new planning, property and infrastructure division after welcoming back into its fold Alan Boyd-Hall.

Boyd-Hall has been appointed to the new role of director of planning and infrastructure and returns to Grayling after 15 months at National Grid.

According to the firm, the new division will provide services ranging from pre-application engagement to post construction and operational branding PR.

Boyd-Hall told Planning: “With so much going on in infrastructure – HS1 and 2, Crossrail 2 and National Grid tunnels, along with all the cranes on the London skyline – it made sense to offer a more unified and and targeted cradle-to-grave service.

“We deal with the likes of St Modwen in Leeds and Crest Nicholson in the Midlands but have never before brought it all together to offer this cradle-to-grave offering. Demands such as housing needs and building on the green belt means everything has become more technical these days.”
