New Forest District Council

A Hampshire council is ‘significantly’ expanding its planning team to tackle rising housing delivery targets.

New Forest District Council says that the government has set it “a challenge of delivering a very significant increase in housing delivery in one of the most attractive and environmentally sensitive areas of the country”.

To tackle this, it says, it is “significantly expanding” its planning team "to deliver quality development, which addresses the needs of the local community and protects our unique and precious environment".

The council is looking to take on a number of new planners, including a senior planning enforcement officer and a planning policy officer.
