Muir and Forse at BoyerAndrew Muir and Laurence Forse have joined planning consultancy Boyer following the firm’s acquisition of smaller consultancy Harmers.

Muir (pictured, right) was previously managing director at Harmers and Forse (left) was director at the firm.

Both will move to the Cardiff office of Boyer and will continue to work on existing projects, tapping into the design and development economics teams.

Muir said: “We see this as a natural progression for our company and the best possible way to provide a greater range of services and skills within an organisation that shares the same core values as us.”

Prior to joining Harmers in 2001, Muir worked as land director at Beazer Homes, and as land and planning officer for South Wales at the Home Builders Federation. He also worked at Mid Glamorgan County Council as part of the structure plan team.

He has a diploma in town planning from Bristol Polytechnic and has been a chartered town planner since 1981.

Chartered planner Forse has worked in planning roles at Cardiff City Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council.

He has an MA in land economy from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in town planning from the University of Wales.
