Midlands planning consultancy expands

A Birmingham-based planning and development consultancy is expanding to meet growing demand for large and small-scale projects.

Brooke Smith Planning associate director Andrea Caplan told Planning: “We have seen a big increase in demand for residential, commercial and leisure work of all sizes for both public and private sector clients. 

“These include major residential and commercial developers and investors, national corporate, academic and charitable institutions, local authorities, plus individual land and property owners.”

The practice is looking to increase it's team of seven planners by recruiting a planner or senior planner.

Duties in the role will include pre-application and land promotion work, judicial reviews and high court actions.
