Hinckley offices A planning restructure at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has prompted the Midlands council to launch a recruitment drive.

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council chief planning and development officer Nic Thomas told Planning: “The restructure focuses on how we deal with day-to-day work and major applications.”

The council, which lies on the border of the East and West Midlands, is looking to add a planning manager and principal planning officer to its development management team which currently numbers eight chartered planners.

Thomas said major ongoing projects included the Crescent town-centre regeneration, a leisure centre development and sustainable urban extensions.
