Maidstone - copyright geograph.org Rodney BurtonMaidstone Borough Council is expanding its planning team on the back of ‘unprecedented growth’ in the area.

The Kent council adopted its local plan in October 2017 and is now beginning work on a review of the document. It also adopted its Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule last year.

The council said that these developments had put it in a “great position” to tackle “unprecedented growth” in the area.

To tackle this growth, the council is seeking to recruit a principal planning officer to work within its strategic planning team.
