Turley appoints new London director

Lorraine Hughes has joined consultancy Turley as director of its London planning team.

Hughes joins the company from rival consultancy Bilfinger GVA, where she worked in an equivalent role within the central London planning team.

In her new role, she will provide planning and development consultancy advice to a range of private and public sector clients on schemes within the capital, focusing on major developments in the central zone.

Hughes joined GVA as a partner from consultancy ATIS REAL Weatheralls in 2005, which she joined as a graduate.

During her time at GVA, she worked with clients including developers Land Securities, Canary Wharf Group and Crossrail on major residential, commercial and infrastructure schemes.

Hughes is a chartered planner and has a master’s in town and regional planning from the University of Sheffield.
