Planning consultancy Berrys is expanding its planning team with the appointment of Mike Lloyd as senior planning consultant.
Lloyd will play a key role in the decision to expand the firm’s services into mid and north Wales.
His role will cover providing initial advice through to in-house design and planning submissions in the residential, commercial and agricultural sectors.
In a statement, the firm said the appointment reflected growing demand for its services.
Lloyd, who will be based in the firm’s Shrewsbury office, joins from Powys County Council, where he has worked for 13 years – most recently as principal planning policy and built heritage officer, overseeing the preparation of the authority’s unitary development plan.
He has also held senior roles at The Environment Agency, Oswestry Borough Council and Eaton Manning Wilson Chartered Architects.
He is a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has a post graduate diploma in town planning from the University of Central England, along with an honours degree in architecture.
