Leyland joins PWA Planning

Louise Leyland PWA PlanningLancashire planning consultancy PWA Planning has appointed chartered town planner Louise Leyland.

Leyland joins the firm from environmental planning consultancy Stephenson Halliday, where she was an environmental planner and Environmental Impact Assessment coordinator.

She has been appointed to bring her expertise of managing large scale development projects.

Paul Walton, director at PWA Planning, said: “After more than 10 years in various planning roles, Louise has built up a great deal of technical knowledge.

“Her appointment adds to our capacity to deal with those larger and more complex planning applications that require detailed public consultation and negotiation with public bodies.”

Leyland began her planning career as a planning assistant at Wyre Borough Council before working for a number of years at environmental consultancy Myriad CEG.

She has a master’s degree in planning from University of Manchester and a bachelor’s in geography from Lancaster University.
