LDA Design appoints new head of planning

Alex Herbert has joined consultancy LDA Design as its new head of planning.
Herbert was previously head of consents for Tidal Lagoon Power, steering the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon through the development consent process.
Prior to this, he led the planning team at investment firm Low Carbon Group, and has also worked in local government and on major masterplanning and infrastructure projects.
He is a chartered town planner and member of the National Infrastructure Planning Association council.
