Land promoter appoints new planning director

Land promoter Richborough Estates has announced the appointment of a new planning director in its eastern division.

Richard Lomas joins the firm, leaving his previous role as an associate at planning and environmental consultancy Axis PED.

The Birmingham-based company has said that in his new role, Lomas will manage its regional planning strategy across the East, Midlands and South East regions. According to Richborough Estates, he will advise on potential new sites and manage existing development sites.

Lomas’ previous roles include planning manager at both land promoter Gladman and multidisciplinary cooperative The Co-op, and associate at planning consultancy Hourigan Connelly.

Prior to this, he worked as a senior planner at property consultancy CBRE and planning consultancy Turley Associates. According to Richborough Estates, he has previously worked closely with the firm on a number of projects.
