Patrick Brennan has joined an expanded planning and development consultancy team at property firm Lambert Smith Hampton.

Brennan joins the firm from London Borough of Islington, where he served as a planner in development management.

His new job will see him wok with a range of public and private sector clients to draw up planning applications, as well as providing specialist advice internally.

The firm said the role covers company’s southern region, and Brennan will also actively seek to win new business from existing and prospective clients.

Brennan told Planning: “I wanted to return to the private sector and am looking forward to working in a large firm in central London with a commercial minded approach and one which has a property focus.

“I hope to use my planning expertise to assist in a variety of projects.”

Prior to joining Islington, Brennan worked in Australia for a specialist town planning consultancy. He gained a bachelor in social sciences from RMIT University in Melbourne.

He is currently working towards gaining UK planning qualifications.

Lambert Smith Hampton said it was expanding due to a rise in business.
