Anna GaffneyProject management and technical consultancy WYG has appointed a new town planner to its Edinburgh team to tackle increasing workloads.

The appointment of Anna Gaffney bolsters the town planning team and coincides with the relocation of WYG’s Edinburgh office to bigger premises, the Cube on Leith Street, on 30 March.

She joined from East Dunbartonshire Council and will be responsible for promoting projects such as renewable energy and residential schemes through to academic and retail projects.

WYG planning director Richard Phillips told Planning: “Following last year’s referendum on Scottish independence, we are seeing an increasingly confident development sector in Scotland.”
