Indigo Planning has appointed John Brooks (pictured) as a director and head of the consultancy’s Leeds office.

A statement from Indigo said that Brooks has joined the firm from Turley, where he was a director “working on a number of high-profile Leeds-based schemes, including Blenheim Court and the Majestic Building”.

Indigo said that Brooks has more than 20 years’ planning and development experience “across London, Leeds and the rest of the UK” and has also previously been an advisor to government departments, councils, universities and colleges, as well as a wide variety of private sector clients, Indigo said.

Simon Neate, Indigo Planning chairman, said: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome John to the team.

"His appointment plays a key role in our long-term plans for the region and he will certainly enhance our service offering in Leeds thanks to his extensive experience and exceptional track record.”
