Manchester consultancy Hourigan Connolly has expanded by appointing a new consultant to help spearhead an expansion in the regions.

Laura Richardson has joined from housing and regeneration quango the Homes & Communities Agency and will help the company grow in Yorkshire and north-east of England.

She will also serve the practice’s growing housing and commercial based order book, according to founding director Daniel Connolly.

He told Planning: “We are looking at dipping our toe into waters the other side of the Pennines. Laura knows the area and seemed a perfect fit.

“We are doing a lot of housing work for builders and strategic land clients, but there's also a lot of commercial and retail work such as conversion of listed buildings into hotels.”
