Horsham Council

A West Sussex council has appointed a new director of place.

Barbara Childs, who moves from her position as head of strategic planning at Horsham District Council, has taken on the new post.

According to a statement from the council, the post was created to “broaden” the previous role of director of planning, reflecting “the importance of place shaping, driving economic growth and encouraging partnership working”.
