Hertfordshire council appoints Macinnes as new interim planning head

Welwyn and Hatfield Borough Council has appointed a new interim head of planning.

Gilian Macinnes said that her appointment would be a “short engagement”.

Macinnes is the director of her own consultancy, Gilian Macinnes Associates which she set up in 2016, and is a trustee at the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA).

She has previously worked as the interim head of planning and development at Ashford Borough Council, and a principal consultant at the Local Government Association’s Planning Advisory Service (PAS).
