Herbert joins Troy Planning + Design

JonHerbertJon Herbert has moved to consultancy Troy Planning + Design from planning and urban design practice Tibbalds.

Herbert, a chartered town planner with more than 18 years’ experience in urban design and planning consultancy, will become a director in Troy Planning’s London office.

A statement from the firm said: “Jon has excellent practical experience of neighbourhood planning, of running engagement exercises, preparing evidence and drafting policy.

“He has also been at the forefront of neighbourhood planning research and best practice, including case studies prepared for the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and the Department for Communities and Local Government and nationwide and London-based surveys drawing out lessons, sticky issues and good practice.”

The statement went on to say that Herbert has led on the production of area action plans, supplementary planning documents, consultation exercises and policy documents, including town centre frameworks and growth strategies.

Herbert, who worked at Tibbalds for two years as associate director, is a CABE Built Environment Expert and a member of the Placemaking Leadership Council.
