Property consultancy Bilfinger GVA has appointed seven new staff to its planning, development and regeneration team in a move to boost its presence in the South East and London.

Mark Gibney has joined as a director from his previous role as a partner at planning practice BPTW partnership.

Also joining him from BPTW are senior planners Elizabeth Woodall and Simon Fowler, plus associate Richard Quelch. Helen Allan also joins the firm as a graduate planner.

The team specialises in residential-led mixed use and brownfield regeneration schemes.

Further appointments include Andrew Deller, who joins from New Zealand practice Planning Focus as senior planner and Rebecca Doull, who joins as a planner.

Gerry Hughes, international head of property development consulting and UK head of planning, development and regeneration at Bilfinger GVA, said the firm was set to announce more appointments to the London and South East team in the spring.
