Consultancy Peter Brett Associates LLP has expanded its landscape team with the appointment of David King as a senior landscape architect.

King, who reports to director of landscape Nigel Evers and is based in Bristol, will offer townscape advice and public-realm design services.

He told Planning: “The Landscape Institute has launched a big drive on green infrastructure and sustainable urban drainage to try and ensure both of these elements are defined clearly in developments and this may be influencing clients and other decision makers.”

Evers said: “Our workload is growing fast, especially in the urban realm. David's skills will further enhance our ability to engage early in the planning process, introducing landscape solutions that contribute to effective masterplanning, and supporting successful planning applications.”
