WYG plannersThree new staff have joined planning consultancy WYG in response to an increase in workload.

David Butcher (pictured, left) has joined the practice’s Guildford team as an associate director, Tom Collins (middle) takes an equivalent role in Nottingham and Jake Crompton (right) has been recruited to the Manchester planning team as a senior planner.

Butcher was previously a senior planning manager at Persimmon Homes’ south coast team.

Crompton joins from rival consultancy Indigo Planning, where he worked on residential and commercial projects.

Collins arrives from Fisher German, and will focus on residential, commercial and mixed-use developments for private sector clients across the East Midlands.

Simon Chadwick, head of WYG’s northern planning teams, said the appointments had been made to strengthen the firm's housing development capabilities.
