Green takes on Lancashire planning director role

Lancashire County Council has appointed Phil Green as its new director of growth, environment and planning.

According to the council, the role covers several departments including business growth, strategic development and planning.

Green joins Lancashire from neighbouring Bolton Council, where he has worked for more than 23 years. He is currently Bolton Council’s assistant director of economic development and regeneration.

Green, who lives in Bolton, will start his new role with the county council on Monday 29 July.
