Gloucester CathedralGloucester City Council is looking to grow its planning policy team to help it take forward a key planning strategy document.

Planning policy and heritage manager Philip Bylo told Planning: "We are busy with a joint core strategy with Tewkesbury and Cheltenham and the focus is now shifting on taking forward our city plan.

"This involves major mixed-use regeneration in the city centre and docks area, including additional housing around the city's train station, more starter homes and the delivery of a Housing Zone."

The City Plan is intended to guide the regeneration of Gloucester to 2031.

The council is looking to take on a senior planning officer in policy, to increase the size of the policy team from four to five planners.
