Gleave joins Turley as board member
Stephen Gleave has been appointed to the board of consultancy Turley with a responsibility for the company’s place-making agenda.
Gleave joins the firm from architecture, planning, engineering and technology firm IBI Group, where he acted as adviser.
IBI bought Taylor Young Urban Design in 2012, which Gleave helped to found in 1993.
Gleave also worked as principal planner at London Borough of Tower Hamlets during the 1980s, where he was planning manager for the Isle of Dogs.
He is was awarded the RTPI North West Regional Leadership Award in October 2012, serving as a chair of the RTPI Urban Design Network Steering Group until January 2013.
He also sits on the South East Regional Design Panel, is a member of the Academy of Urbanism, and in 2016 will be teaching Urban Design at UCL.
Gleave has a post graduate diploma in urban design from Oxford Polytechnic and a master’s in urban design.
